| DECEMBER 2011 Some great news to end the year on. The Della Morte Sisters won the Holding Redlich Pitching Competition at SPAA in November. We have won a cash prize and a trip to the TV Market MIPCOM at Cannes, France next year to take the project to the international market. Very exciting news indeed. Marisa was awarded a Canberra Critics Circle Award for her "innovative contribution to animation, recognised intrnationally and seen in the past year in her work Tegan the Vegan". Congrats to Marisa and the whole Tegan team! What a great way to finish off a great year! | |
 | OCTOBER 2011 The Della Morte Sisters was selected as a finalist in the Holding Redlich Pitching Competition for SPAA in November. Marisa will be pitching to the entire conference as one of three projects in this final stage of the competition. | |
 | SEPTEMBER 2011 Tegan returned from New York just in time to be screened at the Canberra Short Film Festival to a welcoming home crowd. She has also been selected for Show Me Shorts film festival in New Zealand as well as Kuki Kids Fest in Berlin Germany and Filmeon Festival in Brussels, Belgium! |    |
 | AUGUST 2011 Tegan the Vegan screened at the New York City International Film Festival this month. Marisa and Geraldine made the trip to New York for the festival, which was a great experience for all three ladies. |  |
 | JULY 2011 Tegan the Vegan has been selected for another rash of festivals including the New York City International Film Festival, the Canberra Short Film Festival and the World Kids International Film Festival! Thus Tegan begins her world tour. Work on the Della Morte Sisters continues, with more pre-production, pop-ups, animation tests and puppet building. Marisa also continues her weekly radio reviews on The Movie Club, ArtSound 92.7 FM's movie program. You can hear the show on Fridays at 3.30pm or listen online anytime. |    |
 | APRIL 2011 Tegan the Vegan continues her festival run with selections from two big festivals being announced this month. The St Kilda Film Festival in Melbourne and Dungog Film Festival in NSW. The last of the Della Morte Sisters voice recordings have been done, wrapping up with Noni Hazlehurst in Melbourne this month. We can now begin the long job of animating. |   |
 | MARCH 2011 Tegan the Vegan took out Best Australian Animation at the 2011 WOW Film Festival in Sydney this month! A huge congrats to the team. Marisa made the trip to Sydney for the Screening and Awards Ceremony. Tegan will also be making her Canberra premiere this month with the Flickerfest Tour hitting town on March 26th. The Della Morte Sisters keeps slowly coming together with the Sydney recording of Laura Brent and Gigi Edgley as Abigail and Zarah Della Morte this month. Great fun, great actresses, great work from both of them. Can't wait to cut the voices together. Lights! Canberra! Action! Film Festival also ran this month. A huge amount of entries, a record breaking amount of deliberations, a wonderful event and amazing films. The Eighth LCA was a fantastic success! |
 | FEBRUARY 2011 Travel to Sydney this month for voice recording for The Della Morte Sisters. Xavier Samuel (Newcastle, Twilight) and Dena Kaplan (Dance Academy) were the first voices to be recorded for the Della Morte short film 'The Carousel of Shame' and both were an absolute pleasure to work with, bringing to life the characters of Pasha Dimitrikov and Beatrix Della Morte. A sneak-peek trailer for the Della Mortes was released this month as well, with a great original score by Munro Melano. The creation of a dedicated Della Morte website has begun, so keep an eye on www.dellamortesisters.com for more updates on the project. Also in February, preprations have begun for Lights! Canberra! Action!, kicking off on March 4th with Marisa as Festival Co-ordinator again this year, the eigth festival for LCA. |
| JANUARY 2011 We are pleased as punch to announce that Tegan the Vegan has been selected in competition for the 2011 Flickerfest International Short Film Festival. This will be the film's world premiere. Flickerfest runs from January 4-16th, with Tegan screening in the Greenflicks Programme, 2.30pm Sunday 16th January 2011. Details on their website Tegan has also been selected for the WOW International Film Festival, so that's another Sydney screening, this time in March. |   |

The article goes through the process of Project Pod, the announcement of the winners, the opening of the Screen Producers Association of Australia (SPAA) ACT Chapter and the launch of the $1.8 million ACT Screen Investment Fund.
