Lights!  Canberra! Action! is a Scavenger Hunt for filmmakers
You have 10 days to make a short film including 10 items,
around a theme to be in the running for CASH prizes!

The 2010 Competition will run from 26th February to 8th March
with the Top Twelve Screening & Awards on Friday 12th March

THE BRIEF

Lights!  Canberra! Action! is a Scavenger Hunt for filmmakers.  As a  filmmaker, you have 10 days to make a short film (maximum length 7 minutes)  including a number of items which will be announced on the first day of  filmmaking (26thFeb). You can tell any story you want, shoot it however you like and edit to your heart’s content.  Teams can register at any stage of the  competition, but it is an advantage to use the whole ten days to make your films.

Points are awarded for including the specified items in the films, and you  will  have to seek them out – Scavenger Hunt style.  You can include the  items  anyway you like, your character can walk past one, or you can set a  scene at a location, whatever fits your story best – there’s even a  prize for the best use of an item, so be imaginative!

The theme of the 2010 competition is:

"The flipside"

Additional  points are also up for grabs if you use the theme.  You don’t have  to  use the theme, but will win more points if you do.  Be playful and  creative.

Points  will also be awarded by the judges for story, camera work, directing  and  all of the other elements that go towards making a good short  film.

TO ENTER, YOU NEED TO REGISTER YOUR TEAM
