The first Lights! Canberra! Action! was held March 5th to 15th 2004.

Study One Produced and Directed By: Damian Heffernan  |  Places in the heart are occupied by our friends, family, loved ones and even enemies.  This film takes a look at all of these through dance.

My Mind's Eye  |  Produced By: Renee Kirkham     Directed By: Beckie Rose    |  A girl's journey, struggling with isolation and the loss of her mother.  Music instead of dialogue accentuates her internalised feelings. By journey's end solitude is found at a place of the heart.

At Home in Canberra  |   Produced and Directed By: Katie Englert   |  A documentary style film exploring what makes various residents of Canberra feel 'at home'.

Gone Missing  Produced and Directed By: Geraldine Martin   |  A birthday celebration is about to begin for Dad, but he has gone missing.  During the search for him, places in the city evoke the memories which carry a family's heritage through the generations.

Choices Produced and Directed By: Patrick M Gallagher  |   A couple have car issues.  Some lifestyle contemplation and a choice must be made.

Vampires - The Undead Menace  |  Produced and Directed By: Gerard Elson and Owen Vandenberg  |  In 1944, the Australian government considered vampires to be a very real threat.  Consequently, a film was produced to warn the public of the Undead Menace.

Meeting Place  |  Produced By: Peter Fock     Directed By: Bruce Davie   |  Canberra's rebuttal of the rest of the nation.

Soliloquy Produced and Directed By: Michael Cove     |  A personal philosophy against diverse backgrounds

Chasing Janey Produced By: Lucas Danes     Directed By: Daniel Stone   |  Our protagonist is taken on a journey of his old haunts, triggering memories of an old girlfriend and the little things that happened in these places.

A Few Degrees of Dale  Produced By: David Easteal and Chris Patz     Directed By: David Easteal   |  Through a series of incidents (from a multiply stolen car to romantic heartbreak) in teenager Dale's life, the large country town connectedness of Canberra is depicted.
